Who is Maharishi Mahesh Yogi?
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi was a Vedic seer and master teacher widely recognized as a preeminent authority in the field of consciousness and the knowledge of Veda and the Vedic literature. Known for introducing the Transcendental Meditation program to the West, he was the author of many books and the founder of Maharishi International University and numerous other Consciousness-based institutions around the world.
"I’m a seeker, a meditator, a teacher, a scientist and a survivor. A boomer born in 1947, I grew up in West Haven, Connecticut. I attended Notre Dame High School and received a BS from Fairfield University. For a couple of years I worked as a lab and field technician at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station. In 1974 I received an MS in plant physiology with a minor in toxicology from North Carolina State University. In 1985 and 1994 I received an MBA and a PhD in physiology and molecular and cell biology from Maharishi International University (miu.edu)."
